Briars Farmstead has been in the Szechenyi family for over 90 years. Nestled in the northern Shenandoah Valley, the farm is beautifully situated on rolling fields under the Blue Ridge Mountains. Matt Szechenyi began farming at the property in 2005 with a vision to utilize regenerative farming practices to revitalize the farm and breathe life back into the land. Animal husbandry, land stewardship, and producing nutritious foods are an extension of Matt's ministry and faith in Christ. Today, after decades of hard work and perseverance, the Briars is a mainstay of the Shenandoah Valley community.
Brimming with nutrient-dense provision, the farm produces happy, healthy animals that provide nourishment to families throughout the region. Grass-fed, grass-finished beef, pasture-raised pork and chicken, eggs, and raw dairy are all in rich abundance at Briar's Farmstead. Come by and enjoy all that the land has to offer. You're likely to see Matt out and about on the farm - give him a big hello when you're here!
